Shameless advertising

If you've come here looking for stuff relating to cover version albums, there's plenty to feast your eyes on. However you'll have to forgive this particular post - a blatant plug for your blog-master's new book, hot off the presses.

It's called FOUR SIDES OF THE CIRCLE: THE BEATLES' SECOND PHASE, 1970-1974 and it's by TERRY WILSON.

Those of you familiar with Ian MacDonald's Revolution In The Head will know what to expect - this is a detailed, song-by-song account of the Beatles' final years (because, as outlined in the book, they didn't techincally split up until 1975, and so this covers their 'second phase' years).

Classic songs, classic albums - Imagine, All Things Must Pass, Band On The Run, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, RAM - and so on... all analysed, discussed and evaluated, and woven together with the story of their criss-crossing paths.
