Groovy EP from Thailand - but not the real deal!

I was pleased recently to pick up the EP below, which consists of a 4-track EP made in Thailand, of all places. The artwork is instantly recognisable...





So, what do we have here? Well, it's not what it appears to be. This record in fact contains not the cover versions we know and love, but four original hit songs, including cuts by Black Sabbath and Neil Young. Were there any more released in this EP series, I wonder?

It's interesting that in issuing this record in a Top of the Pops sleeve, the Thai label (which, incidentally, is not identified at all) is imitating an imitation! Tell that to the dismissers of all things covered.

And while we're here, let's pay tribute to the cover star, who made this EP a welcome addition to the Top of the Pops collection, by reminding ourselves of her UK number 1 album:
